Quick start¶
Launching Kwitka takes less than a minute.
1. Add the bot to a chat¶
Open @Kwitka_Antispam_Bot and add it to your group (or a supergroup with forum topics).
2. Grant administrator rights¶
Without admin rights the bot cannot delete spam or restrict offenders. Make it an admin and enable at least:
| Right | What for |
|---|---|
| Delete messages | remove spam, flood, Russian-language content |
| Ban users | ban/mute spammers and bots |
| Pin messages (opt.) | for service notifications |
| Manage topics (opt.) | correct operation in forum groups |
Admin order in Telegram
The bot cannot restrict a member who has higher or equal rights. Keep Kwitka high enough in the list of administrators.
3. Check that it works¶
Send /info in the chat — the bot will reply with chat details. If it replied,
everything is ready and protection is already active with default settings.
4. Tune it for yourself (optional)¶
Open /settings — a web panel right inside Telegram. There you can enable/disable
individual modules, choose punishments (mute or ban), set up welcomes, alerts and
more. See: Settings.
